Commercially made soap usually contains detergents, fillers, chemicals, petroleum, high animal fat content (read: sodium tallow ate) and irritants like SLS or SLES (sulfates).

WHY IS HANDMADE NATURAL DONKEY MILK SOAP SO SPECIAL?
Natural Handmade Donkey milk soaps are made in a time-honored fashion. It involves a very simple chemical reaction between oils (or fats) and lye (sodium hydroxide for bars).
All our Natural Donkey milk soap is handmade with lye accord the cold method of soap making process, but there is no lye in the finished product. The chemical reaction converts the lye/fat mixture to glycerin. The glycerin is a natural by-product which comes as a result of the above mentioned chemical reaction and, as such, the relationship between the soap molecule and the glycerin means you have a cleanser with abundant, luxurious lather that cleans like nothing else. As a bonus, it does not strip your skin of its natural, protective oils.

WHAT IS NATURAL HANDMADE DONKEY MILK SOAP MADE OF?
At El Greco Cosmetics Soap Shop, we use all-natural vegetable oils such as olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil and castor oil in our Natural Donkey milk soaps.

PALM OIL
Palm oil makes a soap that is harder, yet cleans well and feels like you want soap to feel as you use it.
Palm oil contains Vitamins such as: very high Beta-carotene, A, D, and E, Beneficial in prevention of skin cancer. Palm is partially hydrogenated, vegan and as natural as we could find for cosmetic use.
OLIVE OIL
Olive oil makes a gentle soap that’s kind to the skin.
Olive oil is Rich in vitamins A, D, E, F and K, antioxidants and phenols.
Olive oil contains 70% monounsaturated fatty acid.
Olive oil contains polyphenol which helps in stronger cell walls.
Olive oil is anti-inflamed, and it slows the natural aging process of the human body.
Olive oil protects the epidermis from external irritation, and it protects of skin cancer.
Olive oil helps slow up the buildup from mostly synthetic hair care products and environmental impurities that leave your hair feeling brittle and dull.

COCONUT OIL
Coconut oil provides natural cleansing and bubbly lather.
Coconut oil contains: 1) medium chain fatty acids or triglycerides, 2) Capric / Caprylic / Lauric acid, 3) Vitamin-E.
Coconut oil properties:
Retains moisture content of skin,
Protects skin from Microbial infections,
Delays the aging process, repairs skin and gives it a healthy grow, great skin softener, softens feet and clears the cracks,
Is good for several skin disorders such as acne, psoriasis, and eczema.
CASTOR OIL
Castor oil Effective to make rich suds (foam) and moisturizing properties to the final product.
Protects scalp from microbial infections and reduces hair fall,
Useful for treating skin diseases caused by microbial infections and skin ulcers,
Effective of treatment rheumatism, arthritis and gout.
DONKEY’S MILK IN OUR NATURAL DONKEY MILK SOAPS.
Donkey milk has been used since antiquity for cosmetic purposes as well as infant nutrition.

Glycerin is a humectant. It attracts moisture and gives it back to your skin.
In natural and handmade soap making processes, one molecule of glycerin is created for every three molecules of soap.
